Help is the place to come if you aren't sure about something or need support using the site. It's where hopefully we'll answer your technical queries. For more general information about Central Station and what we're doing, have a look at our FAQ section.

How do I create a Profile?

Click on the Join Now button in the top right hand corner of the site, fill out the form and press Go.

How do I edit my profile and account?

You have options. When you're in Community, choose 'my home' under the clock. Under that you'll see an option to 'edit my profile'. Work your way through the tabs. Edit Profile and Edit Account are the two most important ones.

Alternatively, if you're in your profile, you choose 'edit profile' from under your profile picture.

How do I upload or change my Profile Picture?

You upload and change your profile picture in the Edit Account tab within Edit Profile (see above.) Choose from one of the options in 'Upload or change your profile picture here', and follow the instructions. If you're uploading a new image, remember to specify that you want it to be your profile picture.

How do I upload work?

There are options. However, the easiest way to do this is probably to go to 'my home' and then to choose the option to add an image or add a video in the left hand column of orange text.

How do I upload work to my Showcase area?

When you upload media within your profile, you have the option to choose Showcase from a dropdown menu. If you choose this, your image or video will automatically appear in your Showcase. We suggest you only put your best work in your Showcase. Think of it as a cinema or a gallery, as opposed to your profile which is more like your studio.

How do I sort my images and put them in albums?

We don't have the ability to do this at present. It's something we're looking into, hopefully more on that soon.

How do I change my Username?

We're working on this. Hopefully in the next month or so you'll be able to change both your username and your email. Bear with us. Make sure you enter your First Name and Last Name in the relevant fields when you're editing your profile, that way people can search for you using those.

How do I flag work as offensive?

Throughout the site you'll see a Flag option. If you click on that you'll be flagging to the Community Producers that you think something is offensive and should be taken down. Please use this function sparingly, and always give reasons. We will only remove content that's genuinely offensive.

How do I notify you if I suspect copyright has been infringed?

Please email us and state how you believe copyright has been infringed. The email address to use is community@thisiscentralstation.com.

I keep getting stuck in a loop when I'm trying to log in, how do I get out of it?

We appear to have a bug that we're currently trying to fix. It means that some of you get stuck in a loop when you're trying to log in. For the time being, if that happens paste the following into your browser, press enter, and log in again: www.thisiscentralstation.com/signout.aspx. We'll endeavour to get this sorted as soon as we can.
